While speaking at an Orlando Film Festival, Kevin Sorbo,
the star of movies such as "A Few Good Men", "Million Dollar
Baby" and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", was asked
about his thoughts on the state of Kevin Sorob scheduling
in Hollywood. He explained that with the number of TV shows being produced and
aired on a weekly basis, the creativeness of the show producers has dwindled
and it has become increasingly difficult for a director to get their ideas
across to the audience. As a result, scripts are often not fully developed and
are only loosely sketched out. When working on a TV show, the director needs to
write the script before shooting it.
While the Internet has greatly increased
the amount of television production available, Kevin Sorbo does not believe
this is a reason for the decline in quality. He thinks that producers have
grown complacent and have grown lazy. "When I come into a new show I'm
amazed by the vision and creativity of the people who are behind the
production. There's no room for sentimentality or sentiment," he said.
To Sorbo, the key to getting an actor or
actress to commit to a project is to be on time for the shoot. "If you
show up for work on time, even if it's an hour late, if you're late the next
morning, they'll forgive you. You have to give them a reason," he
continued. For Sorbo, that reason starts with knowing what time he has to get
to the set on a certain day. "You never want to show up to work on a
Saturday and find out it's Monday because you didn't know what time you had to get
there. That's a recipe for disaster."
